About team: The AZS Legion Katowice team was set up in march 2010 and has members from the whole Upper Silesia. From the 17th September team is officially connected with sports academic society that is binded with Silesian University. It was season 2012/2013, when Legion for the first time took part in games of Polish Lacrosse League.
The main purpose of the team is of course to popularize lacrosse but as important as this is also to create the feeling of being responsible for the team and persuade other not only to train lacrosse but to be active as well.
AZS Legion Katowice has already played on Silesia Cup in 2010, when few players had a chance to join Croydon London team. While this year’s tournament team from Katowice will be supported by Wataha Kraków team. This team has been set up recently in one of the oldest city in Poland. There is no doubt that players will be fighting till the end of every match.
