A few words after the tournament

Is this year's Silesia Cup a proper time for Kosynierzy Wrocław to announce a complete success? In organizational terms - everything went fine, but in the sport terms - the Champions of Poland had to know their place in the European lacrosse.

During the fourth edition of the event, teams competing for the trophy came from various parts of Europe - from England to Latvia or Serbia. Now, after the end of the games, from the same places many words of thanks and praise for the excellent organization of the event flow to the organizers. Kajetan Statkiewicz, chief coordinator of the Cup, summarizes it as follows: "It's really gratifying when hard work and efforts are appreciated. And it's not just about being able to promote lacrosse and the Kosynierzy Team, or find yourself in a responsible role. First of all, we created another opportunity to meet, cooperate and make friends inside the world of lacrosse! Knowing that, thanks to us, about 200 contestants spent an exceptional weekend full of sport and fun - that's a real prize."

Indeed, in this edition, we managed to eliminate organizational failures of previous tournaments, increase number of participants, provide additional attractions. Throughout the duration of the competition at their disposal were warm grilled dishes, deckchairs, souvenir t-shirts, trampoline and professional massage tables - of course with the proper personnel! In line with the hosts, the atmosphere of the tournament perfectly formed part of a catchphrase from t-shirts: "Keep calm and reLAX". The climate of warm, pleasant picnic combined with a tough and fair sporting competition was also recognized by the audience, relaxing on blankets and deckchairs. It all should benefit in next years, as Silesia Cup should become even more popular!

When talking about the level of competition, Kosynierzy Wroclaw certainly did not disappoint, although they failed to win the Cup. All of the participants played very well, despite the differences of their development – in example Legion Katowice plays their first season in Polish Lacrosse League, but Tricksters Bratislava history dates back to 2003... No matter for how long does each team play, or how high are the players' skills – every single guy and girl showed a true heart on the pitch (and lots of good attitude outside)!

The women's part of Silesia consisted of workshops with the participation of Czech trainers and match in mixed configurations, consisting players from Wrocław, Katowice, Warsaw and Poznań. No more women's teams can be considered as the only shortcoming of the organization. We hope that for the next edition, ladies will appeared in Wrocław as numerously as gentlemen.
